Safety Jonathan Owens’ amazing offseason of fresh starts continued on Friday (12 May) after the free agent and partner of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles revealed the details of his upcoming NFL contract.
To announce the six-year veteran’s new contract with the Packers, Biles and Owens, who spent the previous four seasons with the Texans, posted images on Instagram nearly three weeks after getting married on April 21.
The pictures of the 27-year-old signing his contract and posing in Lambeau Field with his wife by his side marked another uplifting chapter in their new life together. The delighted four-time gold medalist made light of the need to briefly interrupt her continuing wedding photo dump to break the exciting news to Owens in her Instagram post.
“Slight wedding content intermission to say GO PACK GO so proud of you baby! here’s to new beginnings! year 6! LFG!” Biles wrote.
The 26-year-old Biles also shared a tweet on Twitter supporting her husband’s new squad, writing, “GO PACK GO,” and including a yellow and green heart.

Owens and Biles, who announced their engagement on Valentine’s Day this year, seem more than excited to start a new life together in Green Bay while continuing to enjoy being newlyweds.
