Online trollers mock Chloe Fineman for her awkward interaction with Madelyn Cline, Aubrey Plaza, and Stella McCartney at the 2023 Met Gala. The “Saturday Night Live” comedian who was co-hosting Vogue’s livestream said, “Wow, look at these three lovely ladies.”

She continued, seemingly forgetting Plaza’s last name, “We have Stella McCartney, Madelyn Cline and Audrey ….”

The 38-year-old former “Parks and Recreation” cast member went very close to the microphone and chuckled, “Slutbone.”

Fineman, 34, nodded at the camera and responded, “Well, I’ll take it.” Derek Blasberg, her co-host, just sat there giggling with her. Social media users were outraged by Fineman’s spelling error of Plaza.

One guy tweeted, “Not Aubrey Plaza repeatedly being called Audrey by Chloe Fineman. Show some respect. #MetGala.”

One commenter said, “chloe fineman keeps calling aubrey plaza ‘Audrey’ Oh my god vogue you flopped on the hosts tonight.”

Others noted that the blunder was probably an amusing exchange between the two women. Someone wrote, “Oh my God people!! of course Chloe Fineman knows who Aubrey Plaza is. Aubrey was just on SNL!!”

Another person wrote on Twitter, “My tiktok is just people thinking that Chloe Fineman Aubrey Plaza interview is real just not a crumb of critical thinking left for anyone.”

Another person commented on a video of Fineman and Plaza, saying, “People getting mad and thinking Chloe Fineman actually flubbed Aubrey Plaza’s name with ‘who is this woman?!?’ lol.”

But in addition to Fineman and Plaza’s humor, another scene drew the audience’s attention. During the interview, the “Babylon” actress giggled apprehensively as she started to ask McCartney, 51, a question while obviously reading from a teleprompter.

The Adidas designer then remarked, “You’re not taking this seriously,” Fineman responded, “I am, I am.”

She said, “No, I’ll be more serious. No, because my name is Chloe and you took over for Karl Lagerfeld at Chloe in 1997. How did you work with his legacy at the house?”

The Met Gala fan wrote, “This was so uncomfortable for no reason lol.”

One person said, “Chloe and Derek were just cringe as a whole… even if this was a ‘bit’ was bad. And the production team at Vogue did themselves ZERO favors with keeping a hot mic on them for the whole livestream.”
