NBA Fans are Stunned by Draymond's Scoring as Lebron, Lakers and Stephen Curry Extend the Rivalry

Draymond Green’s impact on the Golden State Warriors dynasty is obvious. It’s just rarely been because of his effect as a scorer. However, Green’s 20 points on Wednesday, May 10 helped the Dubs defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 121-106 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals, saving the team’s season.

Along with Steph Curry’s (27 points, 8 assists) and Andrew Wiggins’ (25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), outstanding performances for the Warriors, he added 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. LeBron James (25 points, nine rebounds) and Anthony Davis (23 points, nine rebounds) led the Lakers in scoring.

Chris Haynes of TNT and B/R, AD departed the game in the fourth quarter with a head injury and was brought away in a wheelchair. This is frightening potential news for the Lakers. As the series returns to Los Angeles, that scenario will need to be overseen.

But since it was Green’s night, NBA Twitter was surprised and ecstatic by his offensive display. In this series, the Warriors are down 3-2, so work still needs to be done.

Instead of needing Green to have a strong offensive game, they would undoubtedly like Klay Thompson to find his form (10 points, 3-of-12 from the field, 2-of-6 from three). Thompson has had difficulty sh00ting the ball from the field in this series after a 30-point explosion in Game 2.

But the Dubs will take offense from wherever they can get it and on Wednesday, May 10 night, much to the amazement of the NBA community, Green provided a sizable portion of that offense.
