A representative for the Davidson County Medical Examiner verified on May 9 that Kellie Pickler’s spouse had committed suἰcide on February 17.

When American Idol alumna Kellie Pickler woke up on February 17 and couldn’t find her husband, she contacted the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department to come to their Tennessee home. Pickler and her assistant called 911 after being unable to gain access to a bedroom/office on the second floor during their search for Jacobs.
Pickler and the songwriter wed in a secret ceremony in the Caribbean in 2011. I Love Kellie Pickler, a CMT reality show that aired from 2015 to 2017, followed the Nashville pair everywhere they went. Jacobs told in 2017:
“We just do everything we can just to be real, We love laughing through life. We love to do that, and that’s what the show is. Our show is love and laughter.”
While Pickler has been silent on the subject of her husband’s deἀth, other country music performers have spoken out in his honor. During their work together on “Save the Roses” Lee Brice named Jacobs one of the best people anyone could ever hope to have in their corner in an Instagram post on February 22.
