Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date

On July 6, 2023, the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will premiere. The trailer was verified in March via the official Jujutsu Kaisen Twitter account.

Check out the tweet below:

The development follows on the heels of earlier disclosures regarding the format of the upcoming season. At the TOHO production company’s 10-year anniversary celebration in September 2022, it was announced that season two would be split into two parts, or cours, with each half covering a separate story arc from the manga. This two-season release pattern is comparable to those of other anime shows, such as SPY x FAMILY.

Two teaser images also provide us with hints as to what will happen in those arcs. ‘The Shibuya Incident’ has our contemporary characters Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, while ‘Jutsu High’ features our classic heroes Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, and Shoko Ieiri in their Jutsu High uniforms (suggesting a prequel arc).

What will happen in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen?

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Plot

The Death Painting Arc, which spans chapters 55-64 in the manga, served as the finale for Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season. Season two will continue the story from where it left off in the manga, with ‘Gojo’s Past Arc,’ covering chapters 65-79.

Trailers and teaser images have confirmed that the manga’s Shibuya Incident arc will take place after the flashback arc. That suggests, without giving too much away, that season two will focus on some big character changes, as well as the revelation of the mole’s identity in the school.

Even while the idea of Yuta’s impending arrival on the scene is exciting, let’s just say that the post-credits sequence in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 doesn’t bode well for Yuji.
