Frank Herbert’s novel-based film Dune: Part 2 has released its first trailer after a long-awaited by fans. This science fiction film’s trailer gets warmly welcomed by its audience and the novel is considered the best book written by the best writer having the best content.

Its prequel achieved six awards from its 10 nominations in the 94th Academy Awards. As it received Oscar statuettes for Best Sound, Original Score, Film Editing, Production Design, Visual Effects and Cinematography. Dune: Part 2 hit theatres on 3 November 2023.

You can see in the trailer the first glimpse of  Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan and Austin Butler’s character Feyd-Reutha Harkonnen. Timothee came to revenge riding a big sand warm against Harkonnens. Because he destroyed Paul’s family. 

Zendaya, who was just seen in an extended cameo in the first film returns as Chani in the trailer. Seems like she has a longer role in Dune 2. The duo rides giant sandstorms in the film. You can watch Chalamet as Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica Atreides, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Paul’s teacher and Zendaya as Chani.

In the first movie, Paul was a student. In the second part, several new faces appeared including  Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot, a Bene Gesserit, Souheila Yacoub as a Fremen warrior and Tim Blake Nelson.

Chalamet along with Pugh, came to revenge. He appreciated her work by saying:

“Florence is really special. She’s an incredible actor. She was incredible in Dune seriously incredible. She brought a gravitas to the role and I can’t believe my good fortune at this young age between Taylor Russell in ‘Bones and All’ and Zendaya in Dune and Austin Butler’s in that movie too.”
