Baumgartner, meantime, was spotted wearing an elegant black and white ballgown with lace details. She no longer had her signature blonde hair and instead had a deeper hue. Costner walked the red carpet without his sunglasses and in a plain black tuxedo with a black bowtie.
Costner attended the ceremony in order to give out an award. In 1991, for his work on the critically acclaimed Western picture Dances with Wolves, he received two Academy Awards: Best Director and Best Picture.
