Hypnotic, starring Ben Affleck and co-directed by Robert Rodriguez (who directed Alita: Battle Angel), opens in theaters in the United Kingdom on May 26.
Alice Braga (The Suicide Squad), William Fichtner (The Dark Knight), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), JD Pardo (Mayans MC), Hala Finley (Magnum P.I. ), and Dayo Okeniyi (See) all appear in the film, the first trailer for which can be viewed above.
Hypnotic is an interesting hybrid of genres, with Affleck playing a detective with a very puzzling case (Danny Rourke).
The summary goes as follows: “Determined to find his missing daughter, Danny instead finds himself spiraling down a rabbit hole while investigating a series of reality-bending bank robberies where he will ultimately call into question his most basic assumptions about everything and everyone in his world.”
Rourke, with the help of a powerful psychic named Diana Cruz (Braga), discovers more than he bargained for when he and the ghost of the guy he believes hold the secret to discovering the missing girl are both on the run.
Finley portrays Danny’s missing daughter Minnie, played by Pardo; Okeniyi plays the tech-genius conspiracy theorist River; Haley plays the reclusive ex-pat Jeremiah; and Fichtner plays the “enigmatic figure” behind the mystery.
Meanwhile, in January, Affleck discussed how his close friend Matt Damon played a role in his decision to retire from playing Batman. For several reasons, my interaction with Justice League was really negative. I don’t want to place blame, yet a lot of things transpired. To be honest, though, I just wasn’t happy. I felt uncomfortable there,” he said.
Take a look at other tv show first look we have provided in below links:
I didn’t find it to be entertaining. And then some terrible, horrible things started to happen. But after that, I decided, “No more of that!”
In fact, I discussed it with Damon, and he ended up being a major factor in my final decision. I want to spend my time doing things that make me happy.
