The price of the autopsy report is $59. Kobe’s daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant has a similarly positive evaluation.
The helicopter crash was declared the official cause of deἀth for Kobe. The medical examiner also classified the deἀth of his daughter Gianna as an accident.
Captain Emily Tauscher, head of investigations at the LA County coroner’s office, testified in August 2022 in the federal civil action filed by Bryant’s wife, detailing the gory details of the deἀth scene. The crash took the lives of eight people, including Bryant and his daughter.

She went into gory specifics. Tauscher testified, according to Yahoo, “that human remains from the crash were scattered over 500 yards, which created an impact zone larger than two football fields,” and that most victims had to be “scientifically identified,” with Bryant recognized “by his skin tone and tattoos on his arm.”
Family members were not requested to identify the victims since the nature of their injuries was too painful. As she put it, “What someone looks like in deἀth is very different than in life,” Yahoo quotes her as saying. Seeing a loved one in that condition would leave an unforgettable impression.
