Even though he earns millions of Euros playing for Paris Saint-Germain and the Moroccan national team, Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi is making headlines across the world after his wife found out he owns nothing.
After his wife Hiba Abouk filed for divorce and claimed half of all the property and money the footballer had, this information came to light during the divorce process.
She was shocked to learn that Hakimi, then 24 years old, had placed all of his assets and finances in the name of his mother and often asked her to provide for him financially. Everything he had, including his homes, cars, clothes, and jewelry, was registered to his mother, and his multimillion-dollar paycheck was put into her name only.
According to reports, the majority of his possessions are in his mother’s name.
They started seeing each other in 2018, tied the knot in 2020, and now have two young sons. Around March of 2023, she submitted a divorce petition. Hakimi’s marriage to the Spanish actress had been deteriorating for months prior to the news that he was being probed for suspected rape in Paris, France.
