Police reported that an arrest had been made in the stἀbbing deἀth of 43-year-old computer executive Bob Lee in San Francisco.
Records show that Nima Momeni, 38, has been booked on a murdeɼ charge and taken to the San Francisco County Jail. The complaint is murdeɼ with a specific allegation enhancement charging that the murdeɼ was done with a knife, according to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins.
Just four blocks from the location where Lee was discovered last week with stἀb w0unds, sources claim that police were observed at Momeni’s sister’s house in San Francisco’s Millennium Tower on Thursday morning.
According to reports, Momeni was an Emeryville resident and IT entrepreneur.
In a press conference on Thursday, DA Jenkins and San Francisco Police Chief William Scott stated that the evidence shows Momeni knew Lee and that the crime was not a random act of street violence. The suspect is accused of stἀbbing Lee, the creator of Cash App and Chief Product Officer of MobileCoin, early on April 4 in San Francisco’s Rincon Hill district.
Who is Nima Momeni?
On Thursday 13 April, Momeni was taken into custody at his loft in Emeryville, which is roughly eight and a half miles from San Francisco and on the opposite side of the Bay Bridge.
Momeni had his own tech business, named Expand IT, based in Emeryville, for the previous 13 years, according to the suspect’s LinkedIn profile.
His company’s website went down and its phones stopped ringing within hours of his arrest.
According to his profile, he also holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, is fluent in Farsi, and has experience working as a consultant for other Bay Area businesses like Coast Range and Marfic Technologies.
Sam Singer, a neighbor, stated, “It’s even more shocking to learn that your neighbor is accused of the murdeɼ.”
In Emeryville’s iconic Besler Building, where Momeni’s unit is located and where police detained him early on Thursday, Sam Singer’s public relations agency shares a wall with it.
Also, despite Singer’s claim that he hasn’t seen Momeni in the last two weeks, he has never picked up on any warning signs.
Nima is a really gregarious, pleasant, and down-to-earth man who appears to be extremely professional, therefore this comes as a great surprise to everyone in the building, he added. “He’s a great neighbor, very welcoming, and kind.”
This a very different viewpoint from that of Aaron Gipson, who worked on Momeni’s website but is still angry about a wage disagreement they had.
“He was vicious and accusing. However, I didn’t believe he was capable of murdeɼ,” Gipson added.

Lee can be seen stumbling along Main Street following the stἀbbing in pictures that were obtained by the Daily Mail. Through the Portside apartment building’s front glass doors, Lee can be seen attempting to utilize the call box before collapsing to the ground.
Lee allegedly had two stἀb w0unds in his upper left chest, according to sources. Before getting up and moving in the direction of a police car, Lee lay on the ground for around ten seconds. Police claim Lee passed away in the hospital.
