A healthy return for Jamie Foxx. Corinne Foxx, the actor’s 29-year-old daughter, posted on Instagram on April 12 that her father had lately required medical attention.
My father, Jamie Foxx, had a medical setback yesterday, and we wanted to let everyone know,” Corinne stated. Thanks to everyone’s rapid response and excellent treatment, he is doing much better now. We recognize the depth of your devotion to him and value your prayers.
She added, “The family asks for privacy at this time.”
Corinne, the 55-year-old’s daughter with ex-wife Connie Kline, did not elaborate on the situation. He also shares paternity with Kristin Grannis, the mother of his daughter Annalise Bishop.
On April 10, TMZ reported that Jamie was in Atlanta filming scenes for his upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action. Cameron Diaz, who co-starred with Jamie in the 2014 film Annie, also appears in this production, marking Cameron’s return to the big screen.
Jamie revealed last year how he coaxed Cameron out of retirement to star in the film.
“We just begged and pleased on my knees, like, ‘Just give the people one more again,'” he exclusively told E! News’ Daily Pop in August. “We love her, we’ve been waiting on her and this is just gonna be fantastic.”
In June, Jamie revealed Cameron’s retirement announcement by posting a recording of a phone call with the Bad Teacher star, himself, and Tom Brady.
“Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT,” Jamie tweeted June 29. “@CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION—our new movie with @NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!”
Tom said to Cameron, “I was talking to Jamie and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire,” which was captured on the recording of their phone call. I’ve done a decent job of coming out of retirement.
