BEEF, a new show on Netflix and A24, got started when the two main characters met in a bad situation: an ugly, intense road rage incident. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong play two strangers who are determined to hurt each other.
Their choice, which is bad for both of them, makes their lives fall apart and affects the people around them. The series, which was made by Lee Sung-jin and has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, is full of people who are both the hero and the evil in their own stories.
Danny Cho (Yeun) and Amy Lau (Wong), the two main characters, are morally ambiguous, but the audience still wants them to find peace. It’s hard to say who’s the most likable character in a show where everyone is both careless and attractive.
Amy Lau
Amy (Ali Wong) runs a small business that sells plants. She wants to spend more time with her daughter at home, so she wants to buy Jordan’s business.
She is one of the two major characters, and she has done a lot of things that she probably isn’t proud of. In order to get back at Danny, she gave his building business bad reviews, pretended to be one of her employees, and then catfished Danny’s brother.
She then wrote mean things on Danny’s truck, including a line that made fun of how much money he had. Most shocking is that she calls her mother-in-law by name, which is unusual in an Asian family. However, her past makes sense of this.

Naomi Forster
On paper, Naomi (Ashley Park), because of Jordan’s money, should be living in style. Her glam style at home shows that she already fits the part. But Naomi’s partner often makes her feel left out. She doesn’t get much attention at Jordan’s business meetings, so she acts as an unpaid valet.
Still, Naomi is helpful because she tells Amy how to deal with Jordan. Because she was willing to help and interested, she led the community investigation into the road rage event. Even though she seems stuck in Jordan because of how well off she is financially and how nice her life is, she chooses to leave.
Isaac Cho
When people first meet Isaac, played by David Choe, he has just gotten out of jail. It is said that he was the reason why Danny’s parents lost the motel they owned.
But based on how he treated Danny, he seemed to be a calm, family-oriented guy. He doesn’t think twice about giving Danny money or helping him with his business problems. He even comes up with a funny name for Danny’s business, The Chos.
Even though he does things in a strange way, people value him because he jumped in to help his family. People would probably understand if he tried to threaten to kἰll a kid for money at one point.
Paul Cho
Paul (Young Mazino) wants a quiet life of gaming and crypto-trading, but his brother Danny is always following him around and making big speeches that don’t mean anything to him. Paul is pulled into the fight between Danny and Amy by accident. He was contacted by a hot white girl named Amy who was on Instagram. Amy liked that Paul was honest, funny, and polite. He was like a breath of fresh air.
Paul lives with his brother, whom he loves, but who is also the reason he is stuck in his boring life. He is smarter about business and has a better view on life than Danny, but he was never given the chance to grow.
June Nakai
June, Amy and George’s daughter is the only character in this show with a good heart. June’s parents are both creative and successful, so she has everything she needs to become a great woman herself. Her family is helping her become an artist, which can be seen in the drawings she has already done of them.
June is another person who is hurt by Amy and Danny’s fight. She was kidnapped (which she says was the best day of her life), almost burned to deἀth, and even thrown to the ground by her mother. Let’s hope there are no long-term effects from these instances.
