Nick McGlashan “overdosed in a Nashville hotel restroom wearing a gray shirt and gray underpants after taking a lethal mix of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl,” according to an autopsy report.

Nick, 33, a seventh-generation fisherman who struggled with drug addiction, passed away at a Nashville, Tennessee Holiday Hotel on December 28. He had flown in from his hometown of Reddick, Florida.

According to the report prepared by Nashville Center for Forensic Medicine Investigator Krista Hammonds, “this 33-year-old guy was found comatose in the toilet of his hotel room,” and “the decedent had a known history of illegal drug consumption.”

The b0dy of the celebrity, who was reportedly a father of two, was discovered wearing “a gray shirt and gray underwear.”

Forensic pathologist Dr. William McClain writes that Nick, whose legal first name was Bruce and whose race is identified as “American Indian,” “dἰed as a result of the toxic effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl.” The report also notes the presence of “drug paraphernalia nearby.”

According to the report, medical personnel had attempted but failed to revive him by using a defibrillator.

The Sun reported on Nick’s tragic demise in December and included comments from his pals.  Beginning in 2013, he worked as a deck boss on 78 episodes of Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. He and his long-term partner, Claire Hammond, are rumored to be parents to two children.

On December 10, he issued his final tweet, in which he discussed his “trauma,” saying: “The trauma is causing me to have random sleep episodes. Moreover, it wakes me up at odd times. Use caution when navigating.

Nick’s “brother,” co-star and friend Landon Cheney, also paid tribute to him online the day he passed away.

When asked about his drug use history, Nick admitted that he drank half a gallon of vodka every day and injected himself with one gram of meth and two grams of heroin per day at his worst.

After three overdoses in September of 2016, he checked himself into rehab. In a very short time, I went from being a badass in the Bering Sea to a full-blown junkie,” he explained. I had been keeping my life’s fervor a secret from myself.

My will to live was snatched away from me. My addiction and I were fighting a losing battle. He went on to say that he “welcomed [his] own deἀth” since his “mind, body, and spirit were so ill.”

“The entirety of one’s joy snatched away by an insidious and mysterious illness.
