On Monday, April 10, 2023, Julian’s mother announced the tragἰc news that Mexican balladeer Julián Figueroa had passed away at the age of 27. Figueroa was the son of the late singer Joan Sebastian and the actress Maribel Guardia.
Figueroa, like his father before him sang ballads with a northern influence, accompanied by a traditional band. Among his most popular works are the songs “Yo sera”, “Ay amor” and “Volaré.” Guardia announced on Instagram that her kid had passed away.
Imelda Garza Tuón, Julián’s widow wrote her first post after her husband’s untimely Deἀth. Imelda posted a number of images to Instagram in which she and her husband both smiled and made funny faces for the camera. She wrote, “I love you forever”.
Julián Figueroa wrote an Instagram post on his father’s deἀth just days before his own untimely deἀth. The image in the post is of a young Julián held by his father Joan Sebastian. He wrote, “How slowly eight years have passed. Ever since the day you left, times tastes bitter”.

Last night, Guardia reported that Julian was found comatose in his room. When the paramedics and police arrived, they discovered him dead, but there were no signs of foul play. “Acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation” are listed as the causes of his deἀth in the reports of The Sun.
Julian was a popular singer and songwriter who starred in the Mexican soap opera My Camino es Amarte in 2022 and 2023 before his life was cut brutally short. Following in his father’s footsteps was important to Julián Figueroa.
This was taken to a new level when the young actor and musician portrayed his father in the historical series “Por Sempre Joan Sebastian”. The series is a tribute to Joan Sebastian’s life and work and follows him through the years.
For eight episodes, Julián took on the role of his father as a child. José Manuel Figueroa, his older brother, doubled as their father.
Hundreds of people expressed their sorrow to Julián’s family, who have lost both a father and a son. One person said:
“Rest in peace little brother, and that you are in the highest and most beautiful heaven and that now you can hug your father as you wanted so much”.
One of his fans said:
“May God receive him and help his mother. I can’t imagine her pain, my most sincere condolences to the family,”
