The Baltimore Ravens announced on Sunday that free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had signed a one-year contract with the organization. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo and ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Beckham Jr.’s contract is worth up to $18 million, with $15 million guaranteed.
After the news, Beckham Jr., now 30 years old, posted images of his son on Instagram in a Ravens shirt and hat. In Super Bowl LVI, the three-time Pro Bowler tore his ACL while playing for the Los Angeles Rams and was out for the entire 2017 season.
The New York Giants picked him up in the 12th spot of the 2014 NFL Draft. After two and a half injury-plagued seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, the 2014 Rookie of the Year was moved to the Cleveland Browns in 2019.
Beckham Jr. signed a one-year contract with the Rams after having his contract with the Browns nullified in November 2021. Beckham Jr. had 21 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the playoffs for the Super Bowl champion Rams. Beckham Jr. has made 531 receptions for 3,670 yards and 56 touchdowns in 96 career games.

As quarterback Lamar Jackson indicated he wanted out of the Ravens earlier this month, the team acted quickly to sign him.
“As of March 2nd, I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl,” 26-year-old Jackson wrote in a post on social media.
After failing to reach an agreement on a long-term contract with Jackson during the previous two years, Baltimore used the non-exclusive franchise tag on him on March 7.

Jackson is now free to negotiate with other teams after being tagged, but the Ravens have five days to match any offer sheet he signs with another club or risk losing two first-round draft picks in exchange. For the 2023 season, the non-exclusive tag will set you back $32.4 million in pay.
On March 7, Raven’s general manager Eric DeCosta expressed optimism that the two parties will be able to reach an extension agreement.
“We will continue to negotiate in good faith with Lamar, and we are hopeful that we can strike a long-term deal that is fair to both Lamar and the Ravens,” DeCosta said in a statement. “Our ultimate goal is to build a championship team with Lamar Jackson leading the way for many years to come.”
