The Mandalorian Episode 7 Trailer Teases the Beloved Star Wars Character's Live-Action Comeback

The live-action return of a popular Star Wars character is hinted at in a clip from The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 7 that was shown at Star Wars Celebration 2023. In a scene from the upcoming episode, which was seen during the Lucasfilm Studios Showcase event, Moff Gideon inquired about the whereabouts of Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Although having only made one appearance in the current Canon, Star Wars: Rebels, Thrawn is regarded as one of the most beloved characters among Star Wars fans. Yet, the character has not just one but two trilogies of books describing his journey, and it is widely rumored that he will shortly make his live-action Star Wars debut in Ahsoka.

Perhaps it’s time that we look to new leadership.”

He claimed that the show’s two seasons and the Book of Boba Fett had seen a buildup of events. Therefore, I believe that by chapters seven and eight, many intriguing ideas will have been planted, and a resolution will occur.

In a review of last week’s episode, IGN said:

“The Mandalorian gets very silly in “Guns for Hire,” where Bo-Katan and Din Djarin can’t meet with more Mandalorians until they do a side quest for Jack Black and Lizzo. While the episode looks lovely, a thin mystery and obvious finale leave it feeling unsatisfying.”
