One of the most popular eras in the expanded universe, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has been mostly ignored by Disney’s film and television adaptations. Yet, if the timeframe presented at Star Wars Celebration is any indication, that may soon alter.

To illustrate Kennedy’s point, a graphic showing seven distinct time periods, among them The Old Republic, surfaced.

Producer Confirms Din Djarin is Not the Alone Focus of “Mandalorian”

Season 3 of The Mandalorian delves more into the culture and history of the Mandalorian people as a whole, prompting some viewers to wonder if the show is still primarily about Din Djarin and Grogu.

Yes, the fans are correct to question it, but executive producer Rick Famuyiwa has addressed those concerns. It turns out that Din isn’t the only one who may claim to be the titular Mandalorian. To IGN, Famuyiwa posed the question, What does that title mean? as the show progressed.

According to Dave Filoni, “The Next Natural Move” is a Mandalorian Ending

Many fans of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian anticipate that the upcoming film helmed by Dave Filoni will serve as a fitting conclusion to the series. Will it, though? The answer is very convoluted.

Filoni said he views the period when the movie is set as less of a “Mandalorian age” and more of a “New Republic period.” I’m not sure if I’d even call it a conclusion. The New Republic era is what I’m thinking of right now and it existed long before we started filming The Mandalorian.

We brought an old premise into the first season of The Mandalorian which is that there was a New Republic after Return of the Jedi and that the heroes still had to protect that Republic from the leftover Empire. Since that’s always been the case.

The Acolyte Showrunner Dissects the “Frozen” and “Kill Bill” Sequences

The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland clarified what she meant when she said that the program had been described as part Frozen, part Kill Bill. Headland said: There was a strong emphasis on the sibling dynamic and the antagonist was revealed to be a strong but misunderstood female character.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, there was so much of it. I couldn’t believe it was a musical cartoon. It was profoundly affecting me while yet admirably serving its genre.

According to Headland, Kill Bill serves as a really good reference for contemporary day martial arts movies. From the Shaw brothers to Akira Kurosawa’s samurai classics and even Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon obviously Tarantino got influence from a lot of the movies that our action team and a lot of our design team borrowed from.
