The love story of quarterback Joe Burrow and his college sweetheart Olivia Holzmacher began long before the Bengals’ run to the Super Bowl. Their budding romance continued despite Burrow’s transfer to Louisiana State University before Holzmacher’s graduation.
Holzmacher uploaded a photo of herself and Burrow celebrating an LSU win with the phrase “when you fangirl over your own lover” the same year he transferred, back when she was still an Ohio State student.
After Burrow was selected first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Holzmacher wrote, “Thankful to be by your side Joe … so excited for what the future holds.”
Holzmacher is a big Burrow fan and attends many Bengals games with him in 2022. He even posted some photos from the stands. On October 23rd, Holzmacher posted an Instagram photo of himself wearing a black sweatsuit with tiger faces printed on it. Don’t call me out if I wear the tiger suit again!” she wrote as a joke about the holiday getup in the post.
Burrow led the Bengals to victory and a berth in the AFC championship game on January 22, 2023, against the Buffalo Bills, and Holzmacher was there to cheer him on. Holzmacher posted many photos and a video on her Instagram Stories during the snowy game, including a clip of her boyfriend doing pre-game stretching.
Burrow can always count on Holzmacher to be there to celebrate his football victories and console him after his defeats. Holzmacher posted a snapshot and video to her Instagram Story on January 29, 2023 from the stands as Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals defeated the 23-20 to Kansas City Chiefs.

Who is Olivia Holzmacher?
Being picked first overall by the Bengals in 2020 must have been especially thrilling for Holzmacher, who was born not far from Cincinnati. A post from 2015 on her Instagram, though, hints that she was formerly a Packers fan.
Once Burrow transferred to LSU, she remained at Ohio State and earned her degree in 2019. She is currently employed as a senior process expert and analyst at Kroger in Cincinnati and can be found cheering on the Bengals’ Team at home games quite frequently at Paycor Stadium.
