When her daytime talk show goes on hiatus later this summer, Sherri Shepherd prioritizes her health by undergoing breasʈ reduction surgery.
The 55-year-old Sherri host discussed her upcoming breasʈ reduction surgery with ET on Tuesday 4 April, just before attending Variety’s Power of Women Luncheon in Midtown Manhattan. “I believe I am having a booby job done. Because of the pain in my back, I think I am receiving some form of discount “When asked what she had planned for the summer, she answered.
Shepherd’s wardrobe malfunction on her daytime talk show was described as “eye-popping” as a pin holding her dress together to keep her chest intact snapped.
“Coming out, you know, on daytime sometimes it’s too much,” she said of her breasʈ. “So, before the doors open, Willie [her stylist] said, ‘It’s too much b00b!'”
Shepherd then made light of her stylist’s attempts to pull her dress down and forward over her breasʈ with pins.
“And I keep telling him, “It’s heavy. They plan to advance it by pulling it forward “Shepherd, in her role as Rhonda on Friends season 4, famously pointed to her chest and joked that her breasʈ weren’t genuine.
Shepherd plans to have breast reduction surgery and “audition for a couple of movies.”
“Everyone keeps forgetting that I’m an actress,” she remarked. “Well, I’m writing a kids’ book while also preparing for a movie audition. And I’m going to have a baby. Before Jeffrey returns to school, he relies on me even more.”
Presenting at Variety’s Power of Women Luncheon, Shepherd discussed the women who have inspired her throughout her life and profession.
“I would say it’s been Oprah, whose just like taken a loving interest in me and who will talk to me,” she said. “Gayle King, who will text me.
And Robin Roberts, you know, those encouraging texts to say, ‘Hey, you’re doing great or maybe this is where you should shift.’ And, you know, when I call them and ask them for advice they’re there, and it feels good to know I’ve got champions behind me.”
