Why Elon Musk Changes Blue Bird to Doge Coin

Users of Twitter’s web interface are curious about the doge logo’s appearance at the top of the page. Elon Musk shocked the internet when he swapped out Twitter’s signature bluebird for a caricature depicting cryptocurrency.

Doge, the emblem of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency replaced the bird icon, but only on the website version of Twitter; the app has not been updated to reflect the change.

The Web version of Twitter’s home screen features the “Doge” meme in the upper left-hand corner. This is the most recent development since Mr. Musk paid $44 billion in November 2017 to acquire the microblogging service.

When you initially launch the Twitter app, you’ll see a page called “For You” which displays recommended material from accounts that users have subscribed to for a charge. The use of the ‘Dog’ meme as a logo has generated numerous responses on social media.

One user asked:

“Elon Musk changed Twitter Logo to Doge. Is it fun Tuesday on Twitter?”

Another user asked:

“Always some attention seeky nonsense happening on Twitter. Who cares if it’s a bird or a doge”.

One user Tweeted:

“I love the new Twitter logo @elonmusk – and it seems the #Dogecoin icon is also appearing when you fully reload your Twitter page. What’s going on? Brb, gonna grab some cannoli”.

Mr. Musk is an advocate of the joke cryptocurrency Dogecoin which was launched in 2013. He mentioned that Tesla will take Dogecoin for purchases and reaffirmed that SpaceX would do the same in the near future.

After a picture of Dogecoin appeared in the website’s interface, its value increased by approximately 30 percent. Mr. Musk responded to the growing number of users who were curious about the logo’s modification with two tweets that offered a lighthearted spin on his decision.

A police officer checking a license with the “old” bluebird insignia is depicted in one of his tweets with the visage of the “Doge” meme riding in a car.

Doge tells the cop “that’s an old photo”. Mr. Musk then posted a discussion screenshot from years ago in which a user pleaded with him to purchase Twitter and replace the bird logo with a doge. In the tweet, he claimed everything was completed “as promised.”

Users are linking to reports that Mr. Musk is being sued for $258 billion on charges that he ran a pyramid scheme to fund dogecoin which was highlighted by Vox as important news. The legal team representing Twitter’s CEO had already requested the court to throw out the dogecoin lawsuit days before the meme went viral.
