According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Kelsea filed for divorce in Davidson County, Tennessee in August 2022, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split. The “Hole In The Bottle” singer made the announcement on her social media pages.

The “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer’s social media admirers had noticed her husband’s absence in the months preceding the sad announcement as she regularly updated them on her personal and professional life.
The singer shared a somber but ultimately optimistic Instagram post shortly after sharing her personal news: “Right Where I’m at With What I Have”.
Around two months later, with the help of their separate attorneys, Kelsea and Morgan finalized their divorce. Kelsea’s “rights and advantages” as a single person were further restored by the settlement.
Kelsea and Morgan agreed to a particular set of rules for the separation of their assets upon the settlement of their divorce, which was not otherwise altered or amended from the prenup. According to the divorce decree, the Nashville house of the divorcing couple was abandoned throughout the separation and is now for sale.
To maintain interest from “possible buyers,” both parties must keep the property in good condition. After paying off the mortgage, the real estate agent’s commission, and any other associated costs, Kelsea and Morgan divided the remaining proceeds 50/50.
Kelsea and Morgan divided up the household furniture, with Kelsea keeping whatever was left over from her previous relationship. Kelsea and Morgan continued to equally divide their assets after their divorce was finalized, which included provisions for health insurance and attorney bills.
Kelsea and Morgan’s personal property, including vehicles, bank accounts, retirement savings, life insurance policies, and other assets, will stay in their respective names as specified in the divorce agreement. According to the terms of the contract, the former spouse will have no legal right to any of the properties listed above.
It was also stipulated in the divorce settlement that neither party would be responsible for the other’s personal or credit card debt.
The removal of Kelsea and Morgan as beneficiaries on their former partner’s assets (such as insurance policies, wills, retirement benefits, and bank accounts) was one of the most significant alterations.
