One of Heidi Klum and her America’s Got Talent co-stars’ jokes were met with mixed reviews from viewers. The supermodel was photographed backstage by Howie Mandel with her pregnant belly being kissed by fellow judge Sofia Vergara.
It was intended to imply that the 49-year-old was expecting, with the Canadian comic even writing in his caption: “Congratulations. @heidiklum Co-workers @sofiavergara and I are the first [to] know. #agt”
After posting the snapshot to her Instagram Stories, Sofia announced, “I’m going to be an aunt.” Heidi then uploaded the photo, but it turned out to be a joke.
The three made the most of Heidi’s access to a prosthetic belly while filming the upcoming season of AGT together to pull off the gag in time for Saturday or April Fool’s day.
The joke was met with mixed reviews, with some people finding it funny while others saying it was offensive. Pregnancy jokes aren’t funny anymore,” one person wrote under Howie’s photo, while another wrote, “I so Despise this day of the year!!”
Many others found the joke funny and appreciated it for being a light-hearted gag, as one wrote: “Since I just saw her last week at the AGT taping, I knew this was an April fool’s joke,” and one follower also added: “Loved it. Great April fool’s joke! Good to see a good joke nowadays.”
Heidi and her ex-husband Seal co-parent their four children, daughters Leni (18) and Lou (13) and sons Henry (17) and Johan (16).

In a recent interview, Seal discussed his family’s co-parenting dynamic, praising his eldest daughter for her positive approach.
He said: “She walks through life with this type of humility that allows her to move so gracefully through it all and she has an innate understanding of people in general and people’s feelings.”
On him and Heidi’s parenting skills, he added: “I’d like to think, as a parent, that we have – between her mother and myself – that we’ve instilled some of that in her. But she can do no wrong in my eyes and she’s quite wonderful.”
