Some fear filmgoers may be craving more big bad beasts after the success of Cocaine Bear. The Black Demon, a film about a massive killer shark, is set to premiere in theaters only. The trailer suggests that the film will be about a megalodon that attacks a family when they are swimming in the water.
Actors Josh Lucas (The Eternal Purge), Fernanda Urrejola (Narcos: Mexico) and Julio Cesar Cedillo play the lead roles in this film based on Mexican folklore, Sicario. Rambo: Last Blood director Adrian Grünberg is attached to the project.
The story for the film was written by Carlos Cisco, while the script was written by Boise Esquerra. With an April release date and no word yet on when the official trailer will debut, fans will hopefully get their first look at the upcoming creature feature soon.

On April 28, 2023, the huge killer shark film The Black Demon will be released to theaters only. Idaho Esquerra and Carlos Cisco wrote The Black Devil. Although Esquerra may be a newcomer to the screenwriting industry, he has already contributed to the TV series Blackwater.
The Star Trek: Discovery writing staff includes Carlos Cisco. In any event, this flick looks like it could be a treat for fans of creature features to check out in the theater this spring.

The film’s plot is still a secret, but it will reportedly follow oil tycoon Paul Sturges as he brings his family to the abandoned village of Bahia Negra. During his stay, he finds out that an offshore platform is responsible for reawakening a legendary beast.
After deciding to take his family to the platform to learn more about the situation, they are met by a massive black shark that devours everything in its path and keeps crashing into the oil rig.
Paul and his family are among numerous guys who have become trapped and must act quickly if they are to have any chance of escaping nature’s worst predator.
