It won’t be long till we see the return of Demon Slayer to our screens. A film that connects the storylines of the Entertainment District and the Swordsmith Village has recently been released to the public. On April 9, we’ll be back with Tanjiro for good as he and his companions Zenitsu and Inosuke continue their mission to rid the world of demons. New allies and enemies are both possible outcomes.
This article serves as a primer for the third season of Demon Slayer, also known as the Swordsmith Village arc. We’ve got the scoop on when you can expect to see the Ufotable anime, what it looks like, and even which chapters of the manga it will be based on. In addition, a preview of the new OP for the third season can be heard below. Check out our Demon Slayer watch list if you feel like you need to get caught up before then.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Release Date
Season 3 of “Demon Slayer” premieres on April 9, but you can catch the first episode now if you want.
There has been a limited release of the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour. Episodes 10 and 11 from the previous season’s Entertainment District Arc will be combined with the first episode (an hour-long special, no less) from the upcoming Swordsmith Village Arc to form the feature-length production.

What is the Swordsmith Village arc in the third season of “Demon Slayer?”
The Swordsmith Village Arc of Demon Slayer Season 3 has begun. We won’t ruin anything for you by discussing the source material, but we think it will cover manga chapters 100-127. Similar to the last season, when the Entertainment District Arc spanned episodes 70–99, this new season will probably consist of 12 episodes.
Unless something drastically changes, it should feature Tanjiro visiting Swordsmith Village to acquire a new blade. Fortunately, an antique weapon can be found in the town. But, the Love and Mist Hashiras, as well as possibly some Upper-Rank demons, complicate things further.
More generally, the direction that the show would likely follow after season 3 of Demon Slayer was hinted at by the finale’s focus on the Entertainment District. Tengen has been removed from the game but is still very much alive. He suggested Tanjiro to Iguro as the next Hashira. From that vantage point, the Demon Slayers can launch a counterattack against Muzan Kibutsuji.
Where can I watch Demon Slayer online?
The anime series Demon Slayer may now be viewed on Crunchyroll. With their recent merger with Funimation, we anticipate that the third season of Demon Slayer will also be available to stream there. In some regions, the first season is already available to stream on Netflix.
That sums it up… as far as I can tell for the time being. In the meantime, check out our previews for upcoming episodes of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters and the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen.
