Until his retirement in 2020, Chapman Sr. served as fire captain for the Orange City Fire Department. After graduating from Servite High School in 2014, Shallcross spent four years as an honors student and football player at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal Poly in 2019.
