Having played 34 shows to an average of 4,000 people per night, Adele has decided to extend her Las Vegas residency.

Adele made the announcement on what was supposed to be the final night of her Weekends With Adele stint at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum Theatre. The 34-year-old has announced that film versions of the shows will be made available.

Adele can be heard telling the crowd in videos that have gone viral online, Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that.

“I know it’s not enough, so I am coming back.”

She added: “I’ll be back for a few weeks in June and I’m going to film it, and I’m going to release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see it can.

“And then I’ll be back in summer, from the end of August until fall.”

As of late August through the end of the year, I’ll be back in town. Due to COVID, Adele had to push back the beginning of her residency from January 2022.

The singer said that the cancellation of the gigs minutes before opening night resulted in a “brutal” response. On announcing the rescheduled performances, the singer said that the holdup was due to the cancellation of shows, calling it the “worst thing” that could have happened.

“I was absolutely devastated, and I came back, and as usual I smashed it, I always smash it,” she said.

She added: “And I’m glad that I cancelled, and I still am sorry, for the inconvenience and the disappointment, especially to the people who had landed in Vegas already.”
