The Mexican-American actress Rebecca Jones posted her final Instagram photo just weeks before she passed away. The diva opened up to her fans about her health problems and paid gratitude to her coworkers in the media and on set before the premiere of her new film, “Nothing to See”.
Rebecca Jones, a well-known actress in Mexico passed away at the age of 65 on March 22, 2023, due to complications from ovarian cancer and lung disease, as per reports.
Her public relations team has issued a brief statement as fans mourn the loss of a beloved actress.
“Jones passed away in peace and with a deep gratitude to her audience. With deep sadness we want to report the passing of our beloved and admired Rebecca Jones.”
She had already given an explanation for her inability to physically attend the Nothing to See premiere. After her ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2019, Jones has openly discussed her struggles with her health and her eight days spent in critical care.
Though her sickness had caused her to lose a lot of weight, she seemed to be in good spirits. She wrote in her heartfelt post:
“What I am doing is enjoying every second of life, tasting its delicacies, its bittersweet moments, learning from the beautiful and not so beautiful things. Thinking nice things”.
She appreciated the help and encouragement she received from everyone as she worked to get well and she thanked her team for throwing her a “private premiere” replete with popcorn. She emphasized:
“How nice it is to know that so many people love me! And what a nice way to prove it to me”.
Jones also urged her followers to see her in the movie. “You must see it! It’s fantastic, and a ton of fun!!!!!!”, her comment was added. In her concluding remarks, she made a final request to her readers.
She said:
“If you are reading me and you love me, do not pity me because that is closer to the lament, the moaning and I am very, very far from that”.
Along with the tweet was a photo album featuring Jones smiling among members of the cast, crew, and his family. Following her dea†h many fans paid tribute to the late icon in the comments area.
One person wrote:
“May God have you in his memory until we see you again dear Rebecca Jones, A hug to your son and loved ones.”
Many people spoke highly of her generous nature and long-performing career.
