Adrian Monk is back on the case. Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie is a return to form for the classic USA series. Michael Sluchan said in a statement:

“Mr. Monk’s Final Case: A Monk Movie” is the title of the Monk reunion film. There is currently no set date for the premiere of Mr. Monk’s Final Case: A Monk Movie. But we can say that in May of 2023, production will commence.
The comedic film “Monk” is getting a new adaptation and it’s will coming to Peacock. Tony Shalhoub, 69, will reprise his role as Monk in “Mr. Monk’s Final Case: A Monk Movie.” Monk is a great detective who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The original TV series followed Monk as he investigated the unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy while battling his dread of germs and the outside world. A release for the next “Monk” film states that this time around, he will be helping out with “one last, very personal case” involving his stepdaughter Molly as she gets ready for her wedding.
In a recent interview for Dr. Loubna Hassanieh’s “Unheard Tales” online series, Shalhoub dropped hints about the imminent “Monk” revival. He also alluded to the fact that Monk has not had an easy time of it since the pandemic began.
