Familiarize yourself with Alexander “AE” Edwards. On November 2 in Los Angeles, the music mogul made news when he was spotted holding hands with Cher. Earlier that week, the two were pictured in similar all-black costumes outside L.A. hotspots.
The music icon was mocked for dating a woman 40 years her junior in the days that followed. Nevertheless, in typical fashion, Cher responded on Twitter with a string of messages suggesting that she didn’t care about the age gap.
Among the string of Twitter posts, the “Believe” superstar confirmed her relationship with Edwards when she shared a photo of him, simply writing, “Alexander.” When asked if he was her “new man,” she responded with a emoji, and to another Twitter user, she simply said, “Love doesn’t know math.”
During the Kelly Clarkson Show on December 2, 2022, Cher brought up her boyfriend once more. Their relationship “looks crazy on paper,” the singer claimed. “In spite of this, we get along splendidly in everyday life. You can’t beat him; he’s great. Further, I don’t attribute good attributes to men who don’t earn them.”
Again in February of 2023, the pair was seen together as they attended a Grammys celebration in Los Angeles in honor of Pusha T and The Dream. Photographs Edwards shared on Instagram suggest he didn’t think twice about introducing Cher as his girlfriend to his Hollywood peers.
Edwards is used to being in the limelight and has dated other famous musicians before. Amber Rose and Edwards had been together for three years before breaking up in August 2021, with Rose claiming he had cheated on her with at least 12 other individuals during that time.

Edwards is an executive of Universal Music Group, one of the three largest record companies alongside Sony Music and Warner Music Group. Their roster includes such names as Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande.
Edwards is both a music producer and an artist; he has contributed to albums released on rapper Tyga’s own label, Last Kings Records. Together, he and the hip-hop musician are a regular sight in each other’s images and around L.A.
