When Vanessa posted a photo of the two of them on Valentine’s Day 2021, it was Instagram official. With the caption, “It’s you, it’s me, it’s us,” she declared that the photo was of the three of them.

Throughout the year of 2021, the couple’s Instagram followers were treated to a steady stream of new photos from the two. After dating for a year, the Tick, Tick… Bang actress marked the occasion with an Instagram post.

In a sweet birthday message that he sent that month, the ex-Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop said to his sweetheart, “You light up my world.”

As of January 2023, viewers were beginning to question if the couple was still together when Vanessa allegedly downplayed Austin’s Elvis impersonation, which he had reportedly picked up while filming the 2022 movie. The statement caught Vanessa’s attention, as she commented, “Crying.”

Nevertheless, the Tick, Tick … Boom star confirmed she and Cole were still going strong by sharing a sweet Instagram photo just days after her social media comment.

“I’ll stop the world and melt with you @cotuck,” she captioned her post of them embracing.
