YouTube star Logan Paul shocked blogger and founder of the sports Dave Portnoy by teasing a boxing battle with an unnamed opponent in 2023.
Finally, Logan Paul will return to the boxing ring and his next opponent is a seriously impressive fighter. It was in 2018 that Logan Paul and his business partner KSI created the influencer boxing movement that is now sweeping social media.
Paul looked to shift his focus after two bouts with KSI and an exhibition with Floyd Mayweather in 2021, signing a multiyear contract with the WWE. But it appears that this is the year that “The Maverick” will make his triumphant return to the boxing ring and he’s up against an unexpected foe.
After a YouTuber named Paul announced he was going to fight him in 2023, Paul sat down with Barstool’s president, Dave Portnoy for an episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast on March 14.
Logan told Portnoy who he would confront in the ring, but he left out the name and the man’s face to protect his opponent’s anonymity. Even if the other boxer is still a mystery to the spectators, Portnoy was impressed by Paul’s answer and perplexed by the circumstances of this match.
Paul added that he had to switch opponents since he had torn his MCL in a previous wrestling battle. Now it appears that the fight has been rescheduled with a new opponent leaving supporters eager for updates.
As KSI appeared to respond to rumors of taking a tag team match alongside Floyd Mayweather for later this year, this is the latest influencer boxing news to go viral.
