As the saying goes, “Life is what you make of it”. This couldn’t be truer for the protagonist of the anime series “I was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince”. After being reincarnated as the seventh prince of a fantasy world, the protagonist must learn to adapt and make the most of his new life.
The story begins with a high schooler by the name of Kouen Mine. After a strange dream one night, Kouen finds himself in a strange fantasy world, reincarnated as the seventh prince of the kingdom. After he wakes up, Kouen is quickly thrust into a life of politics and precariousness. In this new world, Kouen must learn to navigate the complex political landscape and make alliances with the other princes to survive.
Kouen must also learn to deal with his new family, who are not always the most welcoming. He quickly learns that his brothers are all vying for their father, the King’s, attention and approval. These brothers, all of whom are vying for the throne, are often hostile and untrusting of Kouen, as he is the youngest and least experienced of the princes. Kouen must learn to build relationships with his brothers and navigate the complex family dynamics.
Kouen must also learn to navigate the kingdom’s politics and its internal struggles. The kingdom is in a precarious position, with many of the neighboring countries vying for power and attempting to take control of the kingdom. Kouen must learn to build alliances with the other princes and devise strategies to prevent the kingdom from falling into enemy hands.
Finally, Kouen must learn how to use magic to his advantage. In this fantasy world, magic is a powerful tool and can be used to help Kouen succeed in his goals. With the help of his newfound knowledge and magic, Kouen must use these tools to help him navigate the kingdom’s politics and protect the kingdom from its enemies.
Overall, “I was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince” is an interesting and unique anime series that follows the journey of a high schooler who finds himself in a strange fantasy world. Kouen must learn to navigate the kingdom’s politics and use magic to his advantage in order to protect the kingdom from its enemies. He must also learn to build relationships with his brothers and gain their trust. The story is full of action and adventure, making it an entertaining and thrilling anime series
Japanese author Kenkyo na Circle and artist Meru team up for the light novel series I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Talent. Since October 2019, it has been available on the website for user-generated novels, Shosetsuka ni Naro.
Since July 2020, when it was acquired by Kodansha, six volumes have been published under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint.
Since June 2020, Ysuke Kokuzawa’s manga translation has been serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app; as of February 2023, its episodes have been collected into 10 tankbon volumes. Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab has confirmed that they will be adapting the manga into an anime series for Japanese television.
Novels of Minimal Intellectual Rigor
It was on October 31, 2019, that Kenkyo na Circle’s I Been Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Skill first appeared on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. After acquiring the rights to the series, Kodansha published the novels on July 2, 2020, with drawings by Meru, under the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko banner. There have been six volumes published as of the end of 2022.

Manga
On June 27, 2020, Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket web and app began serializing a manga adaption illustrated by Ysuke Kokuzawa. There have been ten tankobon volumes released as of February 2023. Kodansha USA has obtained the rights to publish the manga in digital English editions in the Americas. Kodansha USA confirmed the upcoming print release of the series in November 2021.
