The golfing couple of Scottie Scheffler and Meredith Scudder made a hole-in-one. After four years of long distance at separate universities, the professional golfer finally tied the knot with his high school sweetheart in 2020. Even though they were initially simply friends, Scudder has been on Scheffler’s side from the very beginning.
“He was just a really down-to-earth guy that doesn’t take himself too seriously,” Scudder told Golf Digest of her husband, recalling their early days together in high school.
For almost three years, the two avoided taking their friendship seriously. Even though Scudder was there throughout Scheffler’s whole ascent to stardom, she still claims that his achievements aren’t “the most essential thing about him.”
Scudder’s appearances in tournaments before Scheffler’s first Master’s win in April 2022 helped introduce her to the fans. At one point throughout the weekend, she even caddied for her husband. Before bed, Scheffler would “sit back and giggle a little bit and eat some wonderful stuff” with his wife, he told the Los Angeles Times.
Scudder has been a consistent cheerleader for Scheffler, and he was by his side as he won The Players Championship on March 12, 2023. NBC 5 Dallas/Fort Worth stated that Scudder was present at TPC Sawgrass to watch the golfer alongside the golfer’s parents and grandmother.

Born in Texas, USA in May of 1996, Meredith Scudder is an American actress. Meredith was brought up alongside her brother Andrew and sister Stephanie by their parents, Michelle and Mark Scudder.
Meredith, a true Texan, attended Providence Christian School until she was ten, and then she went to Highland Park High School until she graduated in 2014. Here she met her future husband, Scottie Scheffler; she later went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in communication at Texas A&M University in 2018.

Scottie and Meredith fell in love while they were both students at Texas Highland Park High School. Scheffler went to the University of Texas and Scudder went to Texas A&M, but they stayed together and made frequent campus visits despite their rivalry.
