Reports have indicated that the Cleveland Browns are interested in acquiring New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore. Is it possible that Elijah Moore, a wide receiver with the New York Jets, may be traded during the offseason?

According to Mary Kay Cabot, the Cleveland Browns are showing more interest in the Ole Miss Rebels’ third-year wide receiver. Cabot claims the Browns were considering acquiring Moore at last year’s trade deadline.

“Moore was on the Browns’ radar at the trade deadline last season when the wideout asked to be traded. The Jets weren’t ready at the time, but maybe they will be now.”

The Jets might not have been interested in trading their WR during the season, but that doesn’t mean they won’t consider it this off-season.

Moore had a major drop-off in production from his rookie year (43 receptions, 538 receiving yards, and 6 total touchdowns in 11 games) to his sophomore year. It was clear that Moore and the team were headed for a breakup due to his disinterest in the scheme, his public tirades against then-offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, and his request for a trade.

Aaron Rodgers’ decision is being awaited by more than just the Jets. Allen Lazard, a wide receiver on the club, is similarly curious as to where Rodgers will play in 2023. Where Rodgers ends up “will be a consideration” for Lazard, says NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

If the Jets decide to part ways with their 2021 second-round pick, unrestricted free agent Lazard might be a replacement for Moore. Lazard is a good buddy of Rodgers’ and a versatile player with experience playing in the slot (and pretty much anywhere else).

By that time, we’ll know more about Aaron Rodgers, Elijah Moore and Allen Lazard’s potential futures, including what shade of green they might be donning.
