You Season 4 Part 2 Ending

Almost a month since the explosive premiere of the first part of You season 4, part 2 is now available on Netflix. The season finale is as dramatic as you’d expect from a thriller with as many plot twists as this one, and the five new episodes bring a lot of action for Jonathan Moore (aka Joe Goldberg) and company.

You can be forgiven for missing a few subtleties here and there in the fast-paced season 4 finale due to the complexity of the twist in question. That’s why we spent so much time discussing the conclusion of the new season, explaining what went down and who was involved so that you won’t be left wondering about anything when the credits rolled.

You season 4 part 2 spoilers follow, so if you haven’t seen the new episodes and don’t want to know what happens, you should probably stop reading now.

The Conclusion of You Season 4 Part 2

The final episode of You season 4 part 2 opens with Joe (Penn Badgley) planning to commit suicide because, after learning that he has been hallucinating the murderous incarnation of Rhys (Ed Speleers), he realizes that this is the only way to get rid of “Rhys” for good (even Joe has seen Fight Club). In addition, after Joe murders Rhys in his own home in Episode 7, the real Rhys’ body is discovered.

You Season 4 Part 2

Nadia (Amy-Leigh Hickman) reveals Professor Jonathan Moore’s true identity to her boyfriend Eddie (Brad Alexander), and the two of them travel to the abandoned Tube tunnel where Joe is holding Marienne in a glass box. Unfortunately, by the time they get there, both Marienne and the box have disappeared.

Meanwhile, Kate (Charlotte Ritchie) is frustrated because her father, Tom Lockwood (Greg Kinnear), has admitted that he has been micromanaging her adult life. To this end, Joe has teamed up with a man he calls “Rhys” in an effort to eliminate him.

By pretending to be Kate, he is able to drug and bind Lockwood once he has convinced him to come to his workshop in a secluded aircraft hangar. Joe turns down Lockwood’s offer of a return to Joe’s old life and suffocates him with a plastic bag and some duct tape. He alters evidence to make it appear as though Lockwood’s bodyguard was responsible for the robbery and murder of his boss.

Who meets their end in the fourth season finale of You?

In episode 7 of You Season 4 Part 2, Rhys is the first character to perish. Joe tortures and kills him because he thinks he’s Rhys, but it turns out that Rhys was just a hallucination of his imagination. During the ninth episode, Kate’s father Tom Lockwood is the one responsible for the death of Adam (Lukas Gage). In episode 10, Joe suffocates Lockwood in his own workshop with a plastic bag, and in the same episode, Nadia’s boyfriend Eddie also dies.

What the heck happened to Marienne?

What the heck happened to Marienne

With the help of Nadia, Marienne broke out of Joe’s glass prison. The couple developed a scheme to make it look like Marienne had died — Nadia texted her pretending to be her friend who was looking after her daughter back in Paris.

Nadia, playing the role of a friend, claimed that she was concerned that Marienne had relapsed and that she would therefore lose custody of Juliette. Afterward, Nadia switched the painkillers Joe had given Marienne for beta blockers. Beta-blockers slowed Marienne’s heart rate to the point where it looked like she had died while she was just pretending to overdose.

Following this, Joe took her body out of the vitrine and deposited it on a park bench. After Joe had left, Nadia gave her an injection of adrenaline to revive her and then followed him. After that, Marienne went back to Paris to be with her kid. There’s a cliffhanger at the end of the season where she reads a news article about Joe and Kate; is she planning to get revenge on Joe?

What happened to Nadia?

Nadia is desperate to see Joe punished after she helped Marienne get out of Joe’s box. She breaks into Joe’s apartment and photos proof that he has been stalking Rhys, including a box of Rhys’s belongings.

Nevertheless, as she is leaving the flat, Joe grabs her by the collar, deletes the photos from her phone, and gives her money to be quiet. It’s then revealed that Nadia is now in jail after Joe killed Eddie after placing Rhys’ murder on him, planting the box of evidence in his room. Afterward, Joe blamed Nadia for Eddie’s death. Joe’s voiceover reveals that she is still in prison and refuses to speak in her own defense.
