The Flash Final Episode

After it premiered in 2014, The Flash immediately became a huge success. DC fans and critics alike ranked Gustin’s portrayal of Superman as among the best of all time after the show’s first few seasons.

Since the controversy surrounding original star Ezra Miller escalated many fans have hoped that former Glee star Mark Salling will step in to play the role on the big screen.

The Flash has begun airing the final season of the show and has completed filming the finale episode.

What is the Release Date of The Flash Final Episode?

With the conclusion of production on The Flash, an era comes to a close. It has been a full decade since The CW’s 2014 premiere of The Flash and the show has since become the last remaining installment in the Arrowverse’s canon.

Although today is the last day of filming, the cast and crew have already begun saying their goodbyes. Brandon McKnight who plays Chester P. Runk on the show shared a photo of the “last day cake” he was given to celebrate the series. This officially closes the book on the series and signals the end of an era.

Candice Patton, who played Iris West-Allen also posted a photo to her Instagram Story to express her sadness over the show’s end. When she was at a loss for words, she simply wrote, “I’m about to fire off the last shot with the flash. Just…I can’t even.”

After nine years on the air, The Flash has developed a devoted following, many of whom are struggling emotionally with the news that the show will soon be ending. According to the words of one devoted:

The Flash hasn’t been without its flaws in recent seasons, but it’s never failed to save the day for me. It got me through some very challenging times. It’s painful to see the sun go down. When it ends, I’ll miss it so much. Both the show and the cosmos are fantastic.

Writers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns created The Flash. It has also been revealed that Teddy Sears and John Wesley Shipp, two of the show’s former stars will be returning for the finale season. Despite the fact that this could be the end of an era, Gustin believes that now is the best time to wrap up the series.

He said:

I’m ready for it to be over and that’s not for any negative reason. It’s like when you’re getting ready to finish high school and granted. I don’t know what college I’m going to after this, I might not get into college, but you’re excited to wrap up and move on to the next phase of your life.

He continued:

I’m ready emotionally and my family is ready to just kind of move into the next chapter together. I never had a real expectation, I’ve never tried to visualize how it would end after all these years. So, I have no idea what to expect from this last one, whatever script I receive in my inbox is what I’ll accept as our story and then move forward with.

In March 2023 viewers will be able to watch the final six episodes of the series and the final episode is available to watch on CW for free.
