Pons moved to Miami when she was five years old, but she did not become a U.S. citizen until she was 23 years old. Pons started dating Guaynaa, a Puerto Rican rapper, in December 2020; they became engaged in August 2022 and were married in March 2023.
Who is Lele Pons Husband?
Jean Carlos Santiago Pérez, better known by his stage name Guaynaa, was born on September 16, 1992, in Caguas, Puerto Rico and is a well-known rapper.
The 2019 reggaetón hit ReBoTa by the rapper shot him to fame. The Guaynaa’s expectations were shattered when they saw the well-groomed, cultured artist.
“You’ll never know who an artist truly is when you give him artificial teeth or a chain that will probably slap his abuela in the face when he asks for la bendición,” Guaynaa told POPSUGAR in 2020.
In his opinion, he has always stood out visually from his peers and other musicians in his own genre. Though Guaynaa seems to have come from a wealthy family, he actually comes from very modest beginnings.
His Puerto Rican father worked as a sugarcane cutter, while his American mother came from a family that had to fight her way out of poverty.
“Basically, I come from a family that earned everything through a lot of sweat and tears. I don’t represent that I was raised in a golden cradle, but sometimes I look like that.”
In 2017, Guaynaa first gained widespread attention as he released a freestyle about the devastating hurricane that hit Puerto Rico. After the success of ReBoTa, he dropped his debut EP, dubbed BRB, in 2020. Universal Music Latin Entertainment and Republic Records are Guaynaa’s current record labels.
The rapper has dropped two albums since he signed. At the 2022 Lo Nuestro Awards, Guaynaa took home the trophy for Cumbia Song of the Year.

How long ago did Guaynaa and Lele Pons begin Dating?
Relationship allegations began after Guaynaa and Lele Pons (born Eleonora Pons Maronese) collaborated on the urban song “Se Te Nota” in 2019.
The first social media hint at a romantic relationship between them occurred in August of 2020 when Pons promoted their new single. Blooper footage of Guaynaa and Pons hanging out in the studio and having fun together was captioned with a fire emoji and a heart.
Yet, the couple didn’t publicly admit they were dating until December 2020. Pons captioned an Instagram post of the two of them kissing in the snow with, “MINE (It’s official).” Their relationship blossomed on a trip to Puerto Rico in January 2021, and by August of that year, they had purchased a home together and moved there.
On July 31, 2022, at the Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium, Guaynaa proposed to Lele on stage during DJ Steve Aoki’s set. Abajito, their second collaborative effort, was released on March 2, 2023.
