Though Zach Shallcross made a return in Episode 6 of The Bachelor on Monday, February 27 after spending Week 5 holed up in a hotel room with COVID, another contestant. Episode 5 was derailed by Shallcross’s positive COVID diagnosis, but the week in London concluded with the first-ever Zoom rose ceremony for the franchise.
After sending Mercedes and Kylee home, Shallcross gave the final rose to Greer leading viewers to believe she would be returning for Episode 6.
What Happened to Greer in Bachelor?
Episode 5 featured a minor argument between Blitzer and Shallcross at the Zoom cocktail party. The competitor was trying to connect with Shallcross by saying:
I work in sales and the last time I had COVID it was at the end of a quarter, so I know what it’s like to have a goal you’re trying to reach and you’re stuck.
At the beginning of Episode 6 host Jesse Palmer told Shallcross, I have some news. Unfortunately, Greer has been experiencing some of the covid symptoms.
When Zach Shallcross is quarantined with covid-19, the remaining women of Season 27’s The Bachelor go on a group date in London without him. To keep the Bachelor process going, the show incorporated virtual dates and a rose ceremony.
Without Zach, Greer, Mercedes, Kaity and company were spotted out and about in London. To be fair, though Zach wasn’t the only one who had to stay inside during the quarantine. As a result of Blitzer’s ongoing COVID testing, he confirmed she would be unavailable for dates beginning in Week 6.
Greer “felt under the weather” and stayed in her room during week 6 of The Bachelor. The rules of The Bachelor must have been altered this season if Greer gets coronavirus and remains on the show until the finale in Budapest.
