Outer Banks Season 3 Ending Explained:
The season began with Big John, John B, and Sarah met by Ward. While the remaining pogues showed up, take vowing “P4L,” JJ, Kie, Pope, and Cleo attack Ward. But Sarah stays there for her father who needs that time. When Ward put his gun, another person Ryan enters and another EI Dorado seeker comes to finish Big John. But Ward ran behind Ryan to save Big John; it was his first good action in the complete season.

Unfortunately, he died and he was the only father who died in the final episode. But before death he talked to John B about Sarah, “You were the best son any man could hope for.” During his funeral, John B gave one final off-camera monologue.

The season finished with the ceremony for John B, Sarah, JJ, Kie, Pope, and Cleo for finding El Dorado. And Pogues who were not selected become local street heroes. Now they all return to their everyday lives, like Pope joining the school, Kie going back to turtles, and JJ receiving a boat.
