After going missing on August 20, 2022, Bell was found dead on August 26, 2022, in Tucson, Arizona. He was 32 years old at the time of his death. According to an autopsy report from the Pima County Medical Examiner’s office, Luke Bell was discovered by a bystander in a shady area of a parking structure.
It appeared that drug paraphernalia had been used. The singer had a fatal amount of fentanyl and alcohol in his body system. Bell had an arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease but that was not the primary cause of his death.
As per the People reports, consideration of the known circumstances surrounding this death, the available medical history, and the examination of the remains, fentanyl intoxication is ascribed as the cause of Luke Bell’s death, the medical examiner writes in the report.
After Luke’s death, The manager of Bell, Brian Buchanan told TMZ that Bell fought this as hard as he could but that ultimately the disease won. At his most charitable and kind while fighting off the illness. Now that he’s found solace, he can rest easy.
After Bell’s death was announced his family released a statement:
We have lost our beloved son, brother and friend and we are heartbroken. Unfortunately, Luke suffered from the disease of mental illness which progressed after the death of his father in 2015 which was a tragic irony given the circumstances of Luke’s death.
