When Will Demon Slayer Season 3 Be Available to Watch and Who Will Be in It?

Demon Slayer Season 3

Demon Slayer Season 3

Those concerned that Tanjiro and Nezuko (and everyone else) had reached their final season of Demon Slayer can rest easy knowing that season three is unquestionably coming. In May 2022, the second season of the enormously popular anime franchise, I ended following a fantastic finale featuring some of Demon Slayer’s most breathtaking action sequences.

Due to the enormous success of the spinoff/sequel film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer also had a banner year. With its debut in 2020, Mugen Train became the all-time highest-grossing Japanese film thanks to its success at the global box office.

What does Tanjiro’s future hold now that the chaos in the entertainment area has subsided? Here is everything we currently know about season three of Demon Slayer.

When Will Demon Slayer Season 3 Air?

We have fantastic news: the third season of Demon Slayer will finally be released soon! We didn’t anticipate the show’s April 2023 premiere date to be so soon. Also, we discovered that the Swordsmith Village Arc would begin with a one-hour special episode instead of the typical 22-minute length.

A global “theatrical screening event” (similar to the Mugen Train incident) featuring episodes 10 and 11 of Demon Slayer season two will include the premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season three. These are details on those international screenings.

• UK Cinemas – March 1
• United States and Canada – March 3 in ‘over 1,700 theatres.’
• Paris – February 25
• Berlin – February 26
• Mexico City – March 4
• Seoul – March 11
• Taipei – March 19

Who Plays the Main Characters in Demon Slayer Season 3?

We may assume that the majority of the actors from the first and second seasons will return, even though the third season of Demon Slayer is still in the future. The Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, who both made their debuts in episode 21 of season 1, will be the two main newcomers.

These are the voice actors for all of the significant characters in Demon Slayer in both Japanese and English.

• Nezuko Kamado – Akari Kitô / Abby Trott (English)
• Inosuke Hashibira – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka / Bryce Papenbrook (English)
• Zenitsu Agatsuma – Hiro Shimono / Aleks Le (English)
• Muzan Kibutsuji – Toshihiko Seki / Greg Chun (English)
• Kagaya Ubuyashiki – Toshiyuki Morikawa / Matthew Mercer (English)

• Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho – Ai Kayano / Bridget Hoffman (English)
• Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri – Reina Ueda / Brianna Knickerbocker (English)

Essential production team members, such as director Haruo Sotozaki, character designer Akira Matsushima, and head of the original plot Koyoharu Gotoge, will also return.

What Will Happen During Demon Slayer Season 3?

It has been announced that the third season’s story would center on the Swordsmith Village arc, the ninth of the manga’s initial publication. It should be noted that the Demon Slayer manga officially ended in 2020, giving anime fans a rare opportunity to learn (approximately) what the future holds for Tanjiro and the crew.

There Will Be Spoilers Below!

Following the conclusion of the Entertainment District arc, in which Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui slew the demon twins Gyutaro and Daki, the Swordsmith Village storyline immediately follows. Thankfully, Tanjiro’s demon-slaying sword was the only permanent fatality of this titanic encounter. In episode three of Demon Slayer, Tanjiro visits Swordsmith Village to have Hotaru Haganezuka fix his blade.

Naturally, Tanjiro and company will encounter a swarm of demons there (including an Upper-Rank Six that splits themselves across multiple bodies). Fortunately, Mist Hashira, and Muichiro Tokito, intervene to neutralize the danger.

Satoshi Hino (Rengoku) discovered the secret of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s widespread popularity (via AnimeNewsNetwork).

“I’m really happy to learn that the appeal of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Japanese animation has struck a chord with many overseas viewers.”

“Caring for family, the importance of life, and to live one’s life to the fullest are some of the themes in this anime, which everyone around the world can relate to. I feel really blessed that everyone around the world has become one and shares this common sentiment.”

Season three will continue to explore these central themes if it hopes to capitalize on the popularity of the current season.

Has Any Trailer for Demon Slayer Season 3  Been Released?

Although a season 3 teaser for Demon Slayer has not yet been released, production studio Ufotable has been tantalizing us with brief clips of brand-new material for some time. Crunchyroll and Ufotable released a video in April 2022 summarising several significant events from the first two seasons while also showcasing footage of the Mist and Love Hashiras, characters who will be pivotal in the third season.

A little more recently, Ufotable also provided the video below, which showcases the ‘Upper Moon’ demons, or the most vital members of Kibutsuji’s Twelve Kizuki; we already know that some of these demons will feature in Demon Slayer season three.

Knowing that the opening episodes of Demon Slayer season three are airing in February and that the season’s third worldwide release is in April, we can anticipate the release of a full trailer shortly.

Where Can I Watch Demon Slayer Season 3?

Demon Slayer season three will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll when it debuts, according to a prior 2022 agreement between Ufotable and the service.

Through the service, international fans could access dubbed and subtitled editions of Demon Slayer seasons one and two. The English dub debuted about four weeks after the Japanese broadcast. The first season of Demon Slayer premiered in late 2019, and the second ran from October 2021 to April 2022.

The basic “fan” subscription level on Crunchyroll costs £6.50 per month, translating to $7.99 in the US. The premium “Mega fan” level costs £8.99 and $9.99, respectively. In various nations, including Japan, India, Australia, Canada, France, and Brazil, the first season of Demon Slayer is also accessible on Netflix. See the complete list here.
