Ted Lasso is the first Apple TV+ series to debut in the middle of the week on Wednesdays. The return of the comedy features a plot in which Jason Sudeikis’s character, an American coaching a British soccer team must deal with the media’s predictions that his team will finish last in the Premier League.
Emmys have been handed out for the critically acclaimed series in multiple categories, including “outstanding comedy series” and “outstanding lead actor in a comedy series” for Sudeikis.
