Since Friday, July 29, Beyonce’s seventh solo album, “Renaissance,” has been making waves. The singer, who is married to musician Jay-Z, seems to allude to his adultery scandal by mentioning his elevator battle with her sister Solange in 2014.
In “Cozy,” “Alien Superstar,” and “Plastic on the Sofa,” some believe Queen Bey mocked Jay Z’s infidelity. The Grammy-winning singer incorporated the lyric “Of course sometimes s**t goes down when there are a billion dollars on an elevator” on the 2015 remix of “Flawless.” Solange attacked Jay-Z in an elevator at the Met Gala after-party in May 2014.

Did Jay Z Cheat On Beyonce?
Beyonce’s new album “Renaissance” seemed to address Jay Z’s adultery scandal. In “Cozy,” the 40-year-old sings, “She’s a god, she’s a hero, she survived, all she been through, confident and lethal.” She adds, “Might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sibling since she comfortable. “At ease with myself.”
In “Alien Superstar,” Beyonce appears to embrace her husband’s lies to keep him hooked. “Keep him addicted,” she sings. In “Plastic on the Sofa,” the award-winning singer mocks media scrutiny of their relationship.
“We don’t need the world’s acceptance. They’re too hard on me, they’re too hard on you, boy”, sings Beyonce.
She adds, “Boy, I know you can’t help but to be yourself around me, yourself around me/And I know nobody’s perfect so I’ll let you be, I’ll let you be/It’s the way that you wear your emotions on both of your sleeves/ ’til the face you make when I tell you that I had to leave.”

In 2016, Beyonce called her husband’s suspected mistress “Becky with the lovely hair” in her album “Lemonade”. In a forthright New York Times interview the following year, Jay mentioned the scandal. He went “into survival mode” and “shut down emotionally,” which caused his infidelity.
