On Thursday morning, a California man was killed in a three-car collision currently under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The incident happened at 2:30 in the morning on the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near County Line Road.
A tractor-trailer manufactured by Volvo in 2015 and transporting two horses was one of the vehicles involved in the collision. Wyatt James Martin, 27, of Temecula, California, was the driver and was declared dead at the site. There were no further recorded casualties from the collision. OHP is still looking into the accident.

There were 33,654 fatal car accidents in the United States in 2018, resulting in 36,560 deaths, as reported by the Fatality Analysis Reporting System of the United States Department of Transportation.

Conspiracy Over A Death
The Martin family may file a wrongful death suit pending the outcome of the investigation into Wyatt’s death. Damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress may be sought by surviving family members of those killed in wrongful death cases.
