Uncoupled Gets Season 2

Actually, “Uncoupled” isn’t finished yet. Showtime has renewed the Neil Patrick Harris–starring romantic comedy for a second season after Netflix dropped it.

The show, co-created by Darren Star (who wrote “Emily in Paris”) and Jeffrey Richman (“Modern Family”), follows Michael, a New York City real estate broker who must begin a new life after his longtime lover suddenly ends their relationship and walks out. Other members of the cast include Tisha Campbell, Brooks Ashmanskas, Tuc Watkins, Emerson Brooks, and Marcia Gay Harden.

Full episodes of the series were released on the streaming site for the first time on July 29 of last year, where they received a 73% critical acceptance rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the show’s critical acclaim, Netflix canceled it in January because it hadn’t found a significant viewer base. Even though “Uncoupled” debuted in the Top 5 on Netflix’s most popular shows chart in August, it only stayed there for a week.
