Who is the Killer in You Season 4

Season 4 of You has finally arrived, and while serial killer Joe Goldberg is still at large, he has some company. Throughout the show’s first three seasons, viewers have watched Penn Badgley’s Joe, a stalker and killer obsessed with different women who kills everybody who stands in his way, including the ladies themselves.

The new episodes of You take place in London, where Joe has arrived after relocating there from Paris in the wake of the shocking events of the third season finale.

Joe, who is trying to put his past behind him, befriends his coworker Malcolm, Malcolm’s girlfriend Kate, and their group of Oxford University-educated friends while living under the alias of literature professor Jonathan Moore. Joe, assuming he had reverted to his old ways and murdered Malcolm after a particularly heavy night of drinking, disposes of the body on his kitchen table.

However, not long after, Joe starts getting cryptic communications from an unknown source that seems to know everything about him, including his past actions. The media reports that a serial killer, dubbed the Eat the Rich Killer, is at large as more people from Malcolm and Kate’s social circle turn up dead.

Rhys Montrose is the Eat Rich Killer

Joe’s new pals seemed like a good bet for the culprit at first, but in the end, it was revealed that Ed Speleers’ character, Rhys Montrose, was the one who had committed the murder. After Joe is nearly killed by Roald in the woods on a trip to the countryside, Rhys, an author/aspiring politician and close friend in Kate’s circle, confesses his deadly ways to Joe.

Roald, portrayed by Ben Wiggins, believes that Joe is the Eat the Rich Killer and sets out to track him down on his own. But Rhys knocks them both out and locks them in a cellar below the house where Kate, Lady Phoebe, and the rest of the gang are staying before he can do anything.

Take a look at the below tweet by Seventeen:

Rhys tells Joe that if he kills Roald and makes it look like a suicide, they can pin all of the murders (which at this point include Malcolm, Simon, and Gemma) on him. With Joe and Roald still locked up within, he decides to set fire to the cellar after realizing that Joe doesn’t want to take part in his plot.
