How Did Beyonce Express Her Feelings After She Won Grammy Award?

Daniel DaleBy Daniel DaleFebruary 7, 20233 Mins Read

Beyonce has been officially crowned the RIAA’s Goat. On Sunday night, she took home four Grammys for her album RENAISSANCE bringing her grand total to 32. Album of the Year went to Harry Styles. Beyonce has been crowned king of the Grammys.

After receiving the Grammy award Beyonce expressed her feelings by saying,

I’m trying not to be too emotional and I’m trying to just receive this night, she said, after breaking the record a little more than two hours into the main telecast. I want to thank God for protecting me. … I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny, who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit. She thanked her parents, husband and three children before concluding. I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.

There’s still time for her to make even more history as “Renaissance” is also up for album of the year which hasn’t been given out yet, despite her already-historic win. To show their appreciation for Beyonce’s victory, the audience stood up.

After Beyonce’s victory, Grammys host Trevor Noah declared “We can finally end the GOAT debate; it’s done now it’s Beyonce”. See the Tweet by Meech in which he calls Beyonce “an icon.”

Beyonce’s “Renaissance” album, an upbeat homage to the New York City disco and ballroom scene that was founded by Black gay and trans people in the 1970s and 1980s was the most critically acclaimed release of the summer.

With “Break My Soul” being nominated for both song and record of the year, “Renaissance” has four nominations this year. Beyonce’s “Plastic Off the Sofa” and “Break My Soul” both released earlier on Sunday, won Grammys for best traditional R&B performance and best electronic dance recording, respectively, earlier in the day.

At least one award went to her without her being present: when host Trevor Noah announced that Beyonce was late because she got stuck in traffic, the audience heard that she had won best R&B performance for “Cuff It” which was accepted by none other than the legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers. (According to the reports of Cnn.com)

Beyonce has been nominated for an astounding 88 Grammys throughout her career. Before Sunday, she had already set a record for the most awards won by a female performer. Previous to this, the record for most Grammys won by a single artist was held by conductor Georg Solti.

Beyonce has the record for the most Grammys won by a single performer. Everyone is thrilled and she’s become a role model. Follow our official Twitter page to stay up-to-date on the most recent information regarding other celebrities.
