British musician and TV host John Michael is known by his stage name Ozzy Osbourne. In the 1970s, when he was at the top of his game as the frontman for Black Sabbath, he earned the moniker Prince of Darkness from fans of the band’s oppressive sound.

According to the data found on Last.Fm, Ozzy Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948 and as of now, he is 74 years old. Osbourne, who grew up in Birmingham joined Black Sabbath in 1967 and sang on all of their albums from their debut in 1970 through Never Say Die! in 1978.
In 1979 due to his substance abuse issues, Osbourne went on to have a highly successful solo career releasing a total of 13 studio albums, the first seven of which were certified multi-platinum in the United States. Several times since then, Osbourne has performed with Black Sabbath again.
After reuniting in 1997, he participated in the making of the band’s last studio album 13 and the subsequent farewell tour, the final stop of which was a show in the band’s hometown of Birmingham in February 2017. Because of his long career and widespread influence, he is often referred to as the “Godfather of Metal.”
