When Lindsay Musgrove Clancy formerly of Connecticut strangled her three children to death and then attempted suicide in Massachusetts last week. She was likely suffering from postpartum psychosis, an intense mental illness.
In an incident earlier this month, 32-year-old Lindsay allegedly strangled her three children. Lindsay’s daughter Cora was 5 years old and her sons Dawson and Callan were 3 and 8 months old. CBS Boston reports that after taking all three to the hospital, doctors pronounced Cora and Dawson dead and Callan died a few days later.
According to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz, Lindsay Clancy is currently in police custody and has been charged with two counts of homicide as well as three counts of strangulation and three counts of assault and battery.
UPDATE: An arrest warrant has been issued for Lindsay Clancy for 2 counts of Homicide and 3 counts each of Strangulation, and Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon for the deaths of 5 year-old Cora Clancy and 3 year-old Dawson Clancy. Lindsay Clancy is under police custody.

During the time of the alleged murders, Clancy was on leave from her position as a labor nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital. The woman’s background check came back clean. On Wednesday, she was charged with murder twice, strangulation three times and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Likewise, one must feel the utter heartbreak of losing them to fully comprehend the depth of that feeling. I don’t know what to do with myself without Cora, Dawson and Callan.
